What is HTML?

HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language. I'm pretty sure most of you guys know it as well. It is the base of web pages in the internet. HTML files has an extension of either .htm or .html and it can be created using text editors.

As a start, here are codes for a sample page:

<html>
<head>
<title>Amethyst Society Forums</title>
</head>
<body>
<h1>Join amethyst forums!</h1>
<p>Amethyst forums is a forum....blah....blah....blah</p>
</body></html>

After coding, save your page as filename.htm or filename.html. Your page would look like this: Sample
